Taekwondo

Overview

This is a traditional Korean martial art famous for its awesome kicking. Auburn Martial Arts Center is a member of the United World Taekwondo Association (UWTA). Our belt system teaches goal building and leadership skills necessary for any of life's great achievements. You'll be working up a sweat, having fun and learning self defense in every class.

At Auburn Martial Arts Center our students and instructors strive to live by a set of values called the Tenets of Taekwondo. We recite these tenets before and after every class as a reminder of our personal goals. The tenets are:

To give you a taste of some of the things we do, check out our board breaking requirements and physical fitness requirements. Students in the colored belts also practice a number of self defense and one step techniques.

Our students and instructors love to test our skills at one of the many tournaments held through-out the year. Check out the UWTA events schedule to see some of the upcoming competitions and testings being held throughout the year.
