Entering Auburn Martial Arts for the first time
What is it like when you first walk into Auburn Martial Arts Center? I’d say it’s an experience all of its own. Here’s a look into our martial arts gym (and my favorite place to be), where we offer Taekwondo, Jujitsu, and Silat. Whether it’s your first time visiting Auburn Martial Arts Center or you’re someone who spends hours here each week, you’re greeted by the smiling faces of our students and instructors. You’ll see the red and black mats covering the gym, the punching bags in the back of the room, and pictures on the walls. Chief Master Lovas and many of the instructors are on the mat, teaching students of all ages and ranks. Master Lovas is at the desk to greet you. Parents are sitting in the bleachers, watching their children and talking. There is a specific feeling when entering the gym for the first time - excitement about this new change to your life, nervousness about what is to come, adrenaline as you prepare for the road ahead. Every so often you’ll experience it again, even if you’ve walked through the doors a hundred times. In case you can’t already tell, I’m definitely excited to return to Auburn Martial Arts Center as soon as this pandemic is over.
